Join Us From the Beginning
Become a Founding Member
A museum is more than a building. It is a community of people who believe in the power of history to connect, inform, and inspire.
The Huntington African American Museum invites you to be part of its founding community. As we work toward establishing our permanent home, we are building relationships, developing programs, and creating opportunities for people across New York State to participate in shaping the Museum’s future.
Be Part of What’s Next
Join a growing community of supporters who believe that African American history is essential to understanding our shared past and shaping our collective future.
Founding Members will be among the first to receive news about the Museum’s progress, upcoming programs, community events, and opportunities to participate.
Founding Sponsorships & Partnerships
Organizations, businesses, and institutions can also play a meaningful role in the Museum’s development. We welcome conversations about sponsorships, educational collaborations, cultural programming, and partnerships that expand our reach across New York State.
Together, we can build more than a museum. We can build a lasting legacy

Where Culture & Community Thrive
“Legacy is not what’s left tomorrow when you’re gone. It’s what you give, create, impact and contribute today while you’re here that then happens to live on.”
